For you to enjoy sex, you should have adequate drive for sex.  There are so many  reasons so as to why some have high sex drive and some have low sex drive.

One of the reasons for low sex drive is stress. It is not easy to live stress free. Try and avoid stress in your life as much as possible. If you can not avoid , at least handle those stress carefully and adopt "take it easy" policy. It is not easy as I say- I know.

During severe depression, many won't even feel like to have sex.

Depression should not be confused with manic depression (opposit to depression). Bipolar people may experience both. During manic depression (mania), person will have high level of energy and high sex drive(hypersexuality)

If you experience  either condition, you had better consult your physician. These conditions are curable or at least symptoms could be controlled to a greater extent.

Similalry, some medications give you low sex drive and some give you high sex drive. None of these situations should be ignored when you asses your ability to perform for a longer time.

Distracting and diverting your mind from sex are to be carried out very carefully. These steps have to be done gradually while maintaing a the required level of focus on sex. Otherwise, it would be a machnical performance from the body.

A perfect sex should involve the body and the soul. So, keep practising every time you are engaged in sex. More you practise, it would be easier to distract and divert with limit.

If you still want to have quick sex, you do not need to follow these technique. Actually, occassionaly try to have sex without these techniques to ensure that you can have regular sex performance as well.

When you distract from one subject, you should not totally withdraw from the subject. You have to gradually reduce concentration on the subject temporarily. If you think you are getting distracted from the subject, you have to focus again on the subject to maintain the minimum level of interest.

This may look easy but not. You have to practise more and more.

Once you  successfully learned to concentrate on two subjects simultaneously, start practising to distract from one subject temporarily for few minutes and get back to the same. You have to practise this for sometimes.

This experience is necessary when you want to have sex for a longer time. Distaction is the technique you are going to use when you think you are going to have your peak time. Temporary distraction will help you to avoid such peak moment.
